Children in Kestrels visited the Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford this week and enjoyed a special workshop all about the Maya. This was a great opportunity for children to share their knowledge of the geography and history of this ancient civilisation. Highlights of the day included touring around the various displays, looking at art and crafts from this period in time and handling artefacts that would have been made, used, grown or worn by the Maya people.
