Children in Years 5 and 6 dressed in red, white and blue for their Rule Britannia Launch Day on Monday 6 September. Throughout the morning, children participated in activities including a discussion about British Values, scone baking and an introduction to the British parliamentary system. We discussed our summer read, The Accidental Prime Minister by Tom McLaughlin and children had great fun deciding on the laws that they would introduce, if elected to run the country. In the afternoon children enjoyed tasting scones with jam, while presenting their election manifestoes.
