Our topic this term is 'Wheels Wings and Other Things'. This week we have been focussing on air transport and learning about Amelia Earhart and the Wright brothers. Today Oscar's Dad Ed an aircraft mechanic and Captain Ash came to visit us! They told us all about their jobs, and we asked them lots of questions! We learnt that the smallest plane is called a Bumblebee and the largest plane has 6 engines and over 800 passengers! We learnt about air pressure and how an aeroplane might land and what the stripes on a pilot's uniform mean. The children were all very engaged and had a really enjoyable afternoon.
