Members of the choir were invited to sing at the Mayor's Carols on Saturday evening. Thank you to those who took part; you sang beautifully.
If you are passing the Methodist church, please pop in to view the Christmas tree display. Our tree is decorated with the 37 flags that represent the countries within our school community.
"Im Gonna Shine" The Nativity.
Key Stage 1 delighted families, staff, and friends with a wonderful performance of our Christmas Nativity. The children have been working incredibly hard over the past few weeks, learning lines, songs, and actions, and their efforts truly shone through.
Every child had an important role to play—whether acting, singing, dancing, or narrating—and the enthusiasm on stage was clear to see. The songs were beautifully performed, and the children’s confidence grew with every verse. Their costumes looked fantastic against the backdrop of twinkling stars, hand-made props, and the cosy stable scene.
We also enjoyed capturing lots of special moments on camera. These photos show just how much joy and pride the children felt throughout the performance. From shy smiles to big stage grins, each picture reflects the teamwork and excitement that went into sharing this wonderful story.
We are incredibly proud of all our KS1 pupils for their hard work and dedication. Thank you to families for supporting children with learning costumes and songs at home, and to staff for helping to bring the performance together.
It was a truly magical way to celebrate the festive season!
To support our curriculum theme of Law & Order, we visited the Oxfordshire Museum to learn more about the Anglo-Saxons. Children re-enacted battles, designed swords and visited the gallery. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful resource right on our doorstep.
Kingham Lodge kindly provided us with an incredible Pop Art workshop, where children created brightly coloured self-portraits.
We had a fantastic day learning about crime and punishment thorugh the ages, as part of our Law & Order curriculum theme. Children took part in a tour, an interactive workshop, climbed the castle and explored the castle mound. It really brought our history learning to life.
Children in Years 5 & 6 had an exciting day, launching our new theme of Law & Order. Children dressed in red, white and blue; made porridge with healthy toppings; researched the British Values; created slogans and manifestos; and had an introduction to Parliament.
As part of their recent Forest School sessions, our Year 6 pupils created beautiful wellbeing stones, each one decorated with thoughtful messages and calming designs. Today, they spent time placing their creations into our Mental Wellbeing Garden, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the space.
Colour Me Muddy 2025 was a fun and energetic event organised by the PTA, with pupils and staff tackling a colourful obstacle course and getting thoroughly muddy in the process. It was great to see such enthusiastic participation, and the event helped raise valuable funds to support the school. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it happen.
